1: Pages 

Part of Apple’s iWork Suite, this $10 app is a must for new iPad owners. With the Pages word processor installed, you can create professional-grade documents, brochures, and reports. Pages also lets you open and edit Microsoft Word documents and save Pages documents as Word or PDF files. In addition, Pages enables you to share files between the iPad and Windows/Mac machines using iTunes.

2: Numbers

 Apple’s $10 spreadsheet application lets you create attractive spreadsheets that can process more than 250 functions. You can also open and edit Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and export spreadsheets as Numbers ‘09 or PDF files. Like Pages, Numbers allows you to share spreadsheet files between the iPad and Windows/Mac systems via iTunes.

3: Dropbox

Cisco’s Flip Video rolled out its new line of high def UltraHD and MinoHD pocket video cameras for the Canadian market.

The line up replaces the earlier Flip models, with Flip adding a new dimension – a range of accessories from external microphones to waterproof cases — specially created for the Flip.

Here’s the new line, which goes on sale today:

Flip UltraHD, 8GB, 2 hours HD video, $220

One key feature that differentiates this top model from the rest of the line is the new FlipPort, a port that lets you take advantage of all the accessories in the Designed for Flip program, including Scosche’s wireless microphone, iGo’s battery extender and Blue Microphone’s Mikey for Flip external mic.

Flip UltraHD, 4GB,  one hour recording time, $160

The next in the line doesn’t have the FlipPort but it does have the same HDTV connectivity as the two hour version, you need the Flip Video HDMI mini cable to make that connection. As with the entire lineup, it records H.264 HD videos that are compatible with most video-players, including Windows Media Player, QuickTime and iTunes.

It runs on two AA batteries although you have the option of adding the Flip Video rechargeable battery pack to extend battery life for up to two hours. It has the same two times digital zoom as the two hour model, with HD 720p at 30 frames per second; recorded as MP4 files. It comes with four gigabytes of built-in memory for one hour of HD video shooting.
